Vision
We all agree that gun-related youth suicide and homicide are tragedies, but we often disagree about solutions, and those disagreements become divisive. This organization is focused on what we can do now to prevent these tragedies from occurring. We do not seek to engage in political debate. We encourage communication, kindness, community-building, and focusing on commonalities rather than differences.
Some of the projects we are currently working on, or are envisioning, include:
Distribution of over 500 gun locks awarded by MN Dept of Safety.
Short videos demonstrating how to have uncomfortable or difficult conversations on topics of suicide and gun storage.
Partnering with health organizations to engage primary care providers more on these topics.
Grassroots outreach involving parent teacher student associations, faith-based groups, law enforcement, arts groups, and mental health agencies.
